The Anointing of the Sick
All of the Sacraments are important signs to us of
Christ's presence and His desire to be with us continually. The Anointing of the
Sick is an important sign of Christ's healing presence: healing of body, mind and
soul. Yet it is not being used that much because of the changes within out health
care services. As a parish we would like to offer the opportunity to receive the
Sacrament.
On the first Sunday of each month, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will
be offered after all the Masses. Those who have planned surgeries or hospital stays
are welcome to receive the Sacrament. We invite family and friends to stay and pray
with us. The sign of the Sacrament is the Anointing, but our prayers are an essential
part, where by we all benefit in celebrating this Sacrament.
